Mountain biking in Val Gardena/Gröden – Biking in South Tyrol |
| |
The Dolomites are some of the best known mountains in the world. South Tyrol is one of the most beautiful regions on earth. What could be nicer than to discover this country and these mountain regions by bike? No matter if you are an amateur biker observing and photographing while biking or an ambitious biker with high aims dreaming of peaks to conquer – South Tyrol, the Dolomites, Val Gardena/Gröden and Ortisei/St.Ulrich offer various possibilities for both of you.
You may cycle along the valley roads or climb the higher tracks – whatever, the marvellous landscape will eventually bring all bikers together. Twice a year we even close the world famous passes round the Sella massif for the motorised vehicles. On these two days, the “Sellaronda Bike-Day” and on the day of the “Marathona dles Dolomites” the four passes, the Passo Gardena/Grödnerjoch, the Passo Sella/Selljoch, the Passo Pordoi/Pordoipass and the Passo Campolongo/Campolongopass are all yours.
But also on the other days the Dolomites all around the Val Gardena/Grödnertal offer various possibilities for the mountain bikers: flat riverside roads, steep alpine paths or wide and panoramic forest roads. |
